The city. Bustling with TWaTs.
That’s what I was told. People go to work in the city on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays-and so the acronym. Work from home Mondays and Fridays (I mean, if you can, why wouldn't you?).
It's a good thing that the city has come back to life. Isn’t it? The empty streets were eerie during the height (depth) of Melbournes pandemic lockdowns. Businesses suffered of course. You could get easily get a car park wherever you liked if you had a permit to be there though, so there’s that.
I like the buzz of the city, it feels dynamic, even exciting. But maybe a hint of danger too. I don't wear a mask while walking around anymore, but I still hold my breath if people are crowding close.
The city is reshaping, but to what I don’t know. So I'm rebuilding my own city, with photos. How it feels to me now. Trying to make some sense of it. Making this other city.
